Casey Sherman is a renowned investigative journalist and multi-New York Times bestselling author of ten books, including The Finest Hours.

CWS is honoring Mr. Sherman for his generous support and work for individuals with disabilities.

In addition to The Finest Hours, Mr. Sherman has authored Boston Strong, which inspired the film, Patriots Day, the current NY Times Bestseller 12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight for Redemption and Above & Beyond: John F. Kennedy and the Cold War’s Most Dangerous Spy Mission.

Mr. Sherman received the Edward R. Murrow Award for Journalistic Excellence, the Truth & Justice Award from the Cold Case Institute of America, and is enshrined in the National Crime Museum for his work on the Boston Strangler case and the murder of his late aunt, Mary Sullivan.

Mr. Sherman is a Hyannis, Massachusetts native. He attended Barnstable High School and graduated from Fryeburg Academy. He graduated from Boston University.
