Community Day Supports

  • Variety of community based day activities available Monday – Friday 8a-2p
  • Volunteer opportunities: Meals on Wheels, Senior Center
  • Wellness: Yoga @ Shri Center, YMCA
  • Workplace exploration: Shipyard, Silk-screening business, nursing home
  • Community exploration: tour of RI State House, Providence Public Library, Museum of Natural History
  • Social activities: Capen Zoo, Galilee, P-PAC

After Hours Support

  • Work on goals of independence
  • Learning new skills
  • Exploring the community
  • Examples of activities: helping participants with laundry, banking/bill paying, shopping, navigating social situations, attending a sports event, going to the YMCA, going to the movies or the beach.  

Service Coordination

  • Work with assigned Case Manager to develop Individual Service Plan, including creating goals and support network
  • Holistic approach to individual to maximize independence and community engagement
  • Career Development Plan
  • Assistance advocating for additional services such as housing, SNAP benefits, rep-payee services
  • Vocational support both on and off site: assistance with job applications, prep for interviews
